RESPONSIBILITY ON THE TEAM
Harrison serves as Vice President of Marketing and Sales to The Furman Co., Insurance Agency, LLC. His responsibility is to maintain existing accounts, as well as generate new accounts in order to develop steady growth of the company. This is accomplished through his ability to help clients; reduce premiums, evaluate, identify, and implement Risk Management Solutions and provide a dedicated professional team to service your needs. He also oversees the daily coordination of the sales department and their ongoing production.

Harrison joined The Furman Co., Insurance Agency, LLC in 2008. He has worked within the insurance industry for over 9 years, specializing in Risk Management for small and middle market businesses. He has concentrated experience with professional liability, real estate, high hazard liability industries, environmental risks, construction, financial institutions and government contractors.
EDUCATION
Harrison received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lander University in 2001 with an emphasis in Marketing and Management. There, he was a three time recipient of the Leo F. Mulliken Scholarship for Excellence in Marketing and inducted in the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. He was also a recipient of the prestigious "Golden L" award upon his graduation.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES, AFFILIATIONS, INTERESTS
Harrison was awarded the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designation in 2007 by the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. This is a very elite designation comprised of 5 sections which must be completed in less than 5 years. Nationwide less than 1% of insurance professionals ever obtain this high level of education and industry knowledge. Harrison also received his Associate of Insurance Production (AIP) designation in 2002. Currently Harrison is completing his Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation with the International Risk Management Institute based in Texas. He is very active in his industry as well as the community. He is a past adviser on The Hartford Agent Panel, which advises on underwriting, rates, and various other issues in regards to insurance and the economic environment. Harrison has also been a National Legislative Delegate for the Independent Agents and Brokers of South Carolina (IIABSC). Delegates are responsible for meeting with members of Congress in support of various issues as they relate to Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers on a national level. Harrison is a supporter of Young Life, Meals on Wheels, The Children's Museum and is an active member of his church. His free time is spent with his wife Lisa and their three children. He also enjoys golf, college athletics and coaches his children in sports.
